FAQ

How do I book you?
You first have to request a quote. Once the form is sent, I’ll respond asap to let you know my availability. If I am available for your event, I’ll send you an invoice and a performance contract.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. To secure the booking, I require a 50% down-payment and a signed performance contract.

How many Silhouettes can you make in an hour?
I can make between 10-12 silhouettes in an hour. This includes time to cut the silhouette and adhere it to paper/board. This figure is only accurate for steady, orderly queues.

What side are the silhouettes?
Silhouettes are cut from 4x6 vinyl sheets and mounted on 5x7 card stock.

How are the silhouettes packaged?
After cutting out the silhouette, I mount it on paper and place it in a plastic sleeve with a board backing.

Can I have a design or border printed on the paper?
Yes! I have a selection of borders to choose from. Additional fees may incur for custom designs.

How much are mats?
Due to inflation and rising prices, I cannot give a set price for mats anymore. Please request a quote for mat prices.

Can I hire you for more than one service at the same event?
While I do offer this option for some of my services, silhouettes are not available for combining with other services. I do have a network of artists I work with and would be happy to staff the additional service you require.

What do I need to provide for you at my event?
I require a table, 2-3 chairs, and a well lit space. Good lighting can be determined by being able to read text comfortably with no eye strain.

Do you require breaks?
For events that are 4 hrs or more, I require a 15-20 min break.

Can you stay longer than the contracted time?
If I do not have another event or plans after your event, then yes. I charge overtime in increments of $90/30 min. Please keep in mind that overtime availability is not guaranteed.

Do you travel for destination events?
Yes I do! I would be happy to travel to wherever your event is happening. Travel and accommodation fees may occur.

What are your mileage rates?
Gas and tolls are included in the mileage price and distance is calculated from northwest Chicago. Posted below are my mileage rates. 

1-30 miles: free
31-40 miles: $14
41-50 miles: $20
51-60 miles: $28
61-70 miles: $36
71-80 miles: $44
81-90 miles: $52
91-100 miles: $60
101+ miles: TBD
