FAQ

How do I book you?
You first have to request a quote. Once the form is sent, I’ll respond asap to let you know my availability. If I am available for your event, I’ll send you an invoice and a performance contract.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. To secure the booking, I require a 50% down-payment and a signed performance contract.

How long does each fashion illustration take?
Illustrations can take up to 5-10 minutes including dry time.

How many illustrations can you make in an hour?
I can paint 6-12 bodies in an hour. This figure is only accurate when there are steady, orderly queues.

What size are the illustrations?
I paint on 8x10 sheets of watercolor paper, but I can size down upon request. Sizing up may incur an additional fee.

Do guests need to sit and pose?
Your guests may certainly stay and pose for the illustration, but I can also draw from photographs if they don’t want to sit and wait.

Can the illustrations include our company logo or event branding?
Yes! I would be happy to print your logo or branding on the paper. Preprints are $1/sheet. Custom illustrations/designs may incur an extra fee. In order to request a preprint, you should request a quote, write in the message your idea for the print, and I’ll respond with an accurate quote.

What do I need to provide for you at my event?
I require a minimum table size of 3’x3’, 2-3 chairs, a well lit space, and access to electricity. Good lighting can be determined by being able to read text comfortably with no eye strain.

Do you require breaks?
For events that are 4 hrs or more, I require a 15-20 min break.

Can you stay longer than the contracted time?
If I do not have another event or plans after your event, then yes. I charge overtime in increments of $100/30 min. Please keep in mind that overtime availability is not guaranteed.

Can I hire you for more than one service at the same event?
While I do offer this option for some of my services, live fashion illustration is not available for combining with other services. I do have a network of artists I work with and would be happy to staff the additional service you require.

Do you travel for destination events?
Yes I do! I would be happy to travel to wherever your event is happening. Travel and accommodation fees may occur.

What are your mileage rates?
Gas and tolls are included in the mileage price and distance is calculated from northwest Chicago. Posted below are my mileage rates. 

1-30 miles: free
31-40 miles: $14
41-50 miles: $20
51-60 miles: $28
61-70 miles: $36
71-80 miles: $44
81-90 miles: $52
91-100 miles: $60
101+ miles: TBD
